The New Telescopic Crane – A Global Record for Atlas

In 2024, ATLAS Shipyards installed a state-of-the-art telescopic crane, redefining capabilities for mega and giga yacht servicing.

Specifications:

Lifting Capacity: Up to 1,200 tons – among the world’s largest in the telescopic crane category.
Range & Coverage: Engineered to serve vessels up to 75 meters in length, with extreme precision in lifting and transferring heavy components (e.g., main engines, rudders, communication towers, full superstructures).
Autonomous & Remote Operation: Allows millimeter-level accuracy even under adverse weather conditions.
Reinforced Foundation: Specially designed base ensuring maximum stability and vibration resistance during heavy lifts.

Operational Impact:

Expands the yard’s capability to service giga-yachts, specialized vessels, and floating units previously unsupported in the Perama area
Positions ATLAS among the very few global providers offering such heavy-lift and refit capacity outside military or oil-industrial sites.
Establishes the yard as a strategic hub in the Eastern Mediterranean for large-scale refits and emergency repairs.
The new 1,200-ton crane is not merely a technical addition – it represents a transformational milestone in ATLAS’s operational scope, attracting international superyacht clients and investor interest from both the maritime and energy sectors.
